Natural treatment for Mange :
Other than combining healing Neemseed Oil and other herbs, vitamins and homeopathy for mange symptoms, also use Vit C (sodium ascorbate) of give grams orally a day, and 1 dessertspoon of Cod Liver Oil daily. Then reduce Cod Liver Oil once dog is healing.

IMO , I wouldn't trust any homeopathic treatment for mange. I always been told it's an infection very hard to treat ... so I wouldn't take any chances of this preading.

no, red mange is dog specific, no spreading to other dogs or people.

I think Frenchy is saying not to take chances for it spreading to a wider area on Alice. Demodectic mange can be a real trial to overcome.

Have you beefed up her diet? Demodectic mange is a disease of the immune system and sometimes supplements can really help. If you go to homeopathic treatments, do them in conjunction with the other meds, and only after checking with the vet first to make sure nothing is going to interact and reduce the efficacy of the meds.

thank you Rainbow!! i didnt know that was an option!

i see what you guys mean by it spreading although it hasnt spread and somehair is growing back.

she is eating Canidae All Live Stages at 1/4 cup more than suggested, getting Solid Gold Green Tripe 2X weekly, fish oil daily and an egg in place of 1/4 of her food (she is still pretty small so its a big eating day) for 2 of the days she doesnt get Tripe. she is steadily gaining weight but not getting fat. her legs look *much* straighter and she is totally full of energy. mom does complain that she pees a bunch. its still every hour or so. oh and when i come over i bring all three (yes you read that right... boy do i have an update to make!!) dogs a chicken quarter to gnaw on. needless to say im the *coolest* person ever!!!

I have heard that the injections are more easily tolerated.

And, next time you go to mom's, take your camera.....we need Alice update pics.

had this perfect little pic that was screaming to be taken but my batteries are dead. Hunter was sleeping on the couch, belly up, paws in the air when Mister sniffed his nose from between his out stretched paws. it was so adorable. Hunter is the *only* one who tolerates Mister at all. whi is feeling much better BTW. he ate last night, no pukies, no funky attitude, slept like the dead... OH and i watched I Am Legend. it made me BALL MY EYES OUT!! but it was good.

thats my random thoughts for the day.
