Silky Terrier Acting Wierd

I have a silky terrier who is just recently completely had a change of behavior, before she was very active and did not really want to be calm or lay down or sit with near or on anyone. Now it is like shes afraid to be alone she will not stop until you let her sit on your lap or lay down next to you she will follow you every where you go and is very unactive. She is also becoming agressive which she never was growling and snapping at people she knows very well. We also have a yorkshire terrier and they have always been jealous of each other but never agressive, now the silky will attack the yorky if we try to get her any attention. Any idea what is wrong? Thanks.

They're both females, right? How old are they? Are they spayed; or is there a chance one could be in heat or coming into heat?

Absent any other sudden changes in her life or something that really scared her, is she acting as usual as far as eating, bowel movements, drinking, etc?

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to come up with ideas whether it's behavioural, medical, etc....

Silky

Hey thanks for replying, yes they are both females. About 6 months ago we moved from arkansas to here which is a big move but we don't think thats the problem cuz like i said we've been here for 6 months and she just started this about a week ago. The yorky was attacked and mauled by a rottweiler on the trip out here but she is fine as far as i know nothing scary has happened to the silky. She was just recently in heat probably about a month ago so don't know if that could be it or not. Hope that helps. Thanks for your help.

Any sudden changes in behavior should be checked out by the vet.
She also needs to be spayed - heat cycles can make dogs very "bitchy", and they can get pyometra too.

And I'm not surprised at all that two female terriers are getting in fights - this is more to be expected than not. Spaying both of them won't change that, but the hormone fluctuations that go with being in heat isn't helping.
