Frozen summer treats for dogs - GREAT IDEA
A picture is worth a thousand words! Basically the French translated goes like this - Fill a bucket with water or bouillon, add dog treats and dog toys and the freeze the sucker. Hours of fun for dooger. I might add to let the thing melt for a few minutes. That way the tongue sticking to frozen fence-pole phenomenon won't happen. Hey it happened to me once as a kid....ONCE.

It is a great idea, but Halo would look at it, look at me, and think "Yeah that's not happening!" Wouldn't cookies get soggy?
On that same thought though, in the summer I use ice cream pails and freeze half of it overnight (water) and then in the morning fill the rest with water so that the dog has cool water all day. If you have two pails just rotate them. One in one out. Come on Marko, you only froze your tongue once?? I even had my ski pole stuck to my lips once in Quebec! |

I freeze yogurt in ice cube trays or chicken stock. Clark prefers to play with them and eventually licks the floor. He is not getting a job cleaning anytime soon.

Good idea!
I really like this concept!
I don't have any dogs (cats only), but I sure will make some of these for my two friends who have dogs... What a treat it will be for them when I show up at the next BBQ!!! sandyrivers

It started with Bud he loved doggy ice cream just to expensive to feed 200 pounds of dog so I started with the yogurt and he loved it. So I have used cranberry juice no sugar and a bit of honey and water. Just be creative and no sugar substitutes bad stuff but I am not sure if you could use stevia since it is all natural. Bonus if you have an outside area to let them have fun with them.
