Animal Miracle

My good friend who just had a baby in January, suffered a severe brain anurism (sp?) about 2-3 weeks ago.

I just found out that her sweet little dog Coconut (poodle/wheaten mix) saved her life !!!!!!

It was a sunday morning at 7:30am and Coco started barking at her husband (they usually don't get up until 12:30!) Her husband told Coco to stop and go back to sleep, but Coco would not stop and actually started growling at him, so he just figured she had to pee, so got up to let her out.
He headed toward the door and Coco started barking and growling and ran to my friends side of the bed where she started pawing at my friend. That's when her hubby noticed my friend was not moving or waking, he tried to shake her but got no response, so called 911.

Her anurism had not yet burst, but was in the centre of her brain. the doctors were able to operate and save her. (she is doing great now!)
the doctors said she should have died, and had the dog not woken her husband he would have woke up at about noon with a dead wife next to him! (aparently she was passed out in bed form the pressure of the anurism)

HORRAY FOR COCONUT. everyone thinks she is a hero, and is being treated like royalty

Wow, that is an amazing story, Happycats! Three cheers for Coconut!

It's incredible how animals alert humans to danger, saving lives in the process. This "sixth-sense" instinct is certainly well documented with many cases of animal intervention. Fascinating how they "know".. and how they respond on behalf of their people.

So glad to hear that your friend is recovering now - how frightening, this close call. Their dog certainly is a hero!
