Question sneezing feline

Hi I'm Leeslynn. Just joined, thanks for having me!
I have a question...my 1 year old persian mix is sneezing. This just started this morning. Is there anything I can give him to 'dry' him up?? Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to you!
While cats will sneeze "occassionally" for various reasons, if its a frequent and ongoing sneezing, this is a sign of a URI (upper respiiratory infection) in felines.
Sometimes runny eyes accompany this, but not always.
URI's can become serious over time if left untreated, but are easily cleared up with meds. I wouldnt reccomend trying to treat yourself until you know the cause.
So if kitty has been sneezing on and off for more than a day, I'd say a trip to the vet is in order.
Good luck with this.

Sorry, missed part of your post

You stated that this just started this morning.- I missed this
I would monitor him carefully for the rest of the day then, the sneezing plus his eating and drinking. If you see any changes to this, and/or the sneezing continues, I would suggest caling your vet later today or tomorrow morning.

Lightbulb Vaccines

Is your cat up to date with it's vaccines? When you get your cat vaccinated it is standard to vaccinate for upper resp infections. Does your cat have contact with other cats that may be infected?
