Smile Unbelievable

I am cheddered bigtime. I have contacted either by email or phoning. As soon as I mention that Moses is a Belgian Malinois no reply. In fact I used a site offered by a woman she found located in Winnipeg and Nada. The only place that offered help for obedience is The Winnipeg Canine Academy. Most of you I hope remember the issue that Andrea did to Moses by flipping him in the air; hanging upside down forcing him to the ground. pushing front legs to ground and then kneeling on him. That is when actually before she did that she did other things to aggravate him not sure it had been either Barkingdog or Longblades that made a comment something like she needed training herself. Anyway Moses then did Bite her natural reaction that is not positive reinforcement. The Academy I informed this female what happened and why now she said they would indeed muzzle him for how long it takes that again is negative reinforcment. He still is out of control around people and other dogs. I am working with him on my own with help from this community and doing google searches. He still has time regardless that he is going to be 6 months this month. I believe and practice positive reinforcement on my own but not enough. My behaviourlist is unavailable at the moment. I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. I tried putting a small back pack on him but his body frame is far to streamlined for it and this is a small one,HELP

Are you located near this ?
http://stores.petsmart.com/Store/Details/2138

This is a petsmart location. If I were you I would just join a puppy class and forget about worrying what happened in the past and just move forward. If they ask a ton of questions just say you want to get some socialization because that is what you ave indicated here. I wouldnt offer up what type of dog you have unless they ask and then this way you are going into a class without any thoughts from previous things that have happened and they have no bias with the dog.

Good Luck!

My sister would say that you need to teach him to concentrate on YOU, and she'd do it by using food. She never lets her dogs socialise at Obedience, she wants them always concentrating on her. She trials them. Winston, taking him to Petsmart is not a good idea in that he could give another dog a terrible scare, which could ruin its temperament. Barb's suggestion was for minmin12 to contact the Schutzhund people because they are used to this type of dog and would probably be more than willing to help . Good luck with him. Oh, I didn't know about the back pack idea till I mentioned it to Barbara and she said it's good, and that they sometimes put a small bottle of water each side.

Well, that's not long to wait. You do need someone experienced with the breed to help you, others might have the wrong ideas and be too harsh. Do let us know how you get on with his training, hope he turns into a top dog for you. I feel very sorry for the poor baby being mistreated the way he was.

Fringin she bailed on me. After many emails and queiries about moses, even planning to meet. I had been given fee she had the nerve to email me an say that there are 4/5 a head of me. Totally Irate I am someone who is supposed to be trustworthy is evitably not. Now Moses has worsened and I am in panic mode there is another place I have contacted going crazy here in winnipeg. Moses has become prey dog now! One would never believe it as he is such a sucky at home and with his brother Harley. He is incredibly gentle, loving, intelligent but the aggressivness has appeared because of this person whom I waited and waited for the love of G-d no one should invite nor give hope if not going thru with it. I have to leave Moses at home this summer so I could take Harley swimming. I am very saddened, frustrated and angry with her.
