A Tribute to Harley

Sorry if I am going on and on about my Dude, but a friend sent me this tag she made and I just wanted to share it with this board. It seems as long as I am seeing Harley I feel he is close to me. I hope that eventually I will be able to get over my losses....

So sorry for your loss..
Its gonna be tough for awhile, but the clouds will eventually clear and soon you'll be able to just remember the happy memories.

A tribute to Harley

I too am sorry for your loss. That is a lovely tribute to him. In a little while you will find yourself remembering some of his funny habits/quirks and you will smile through your tears.
Take care.

Please don't worry yourself about going on and on. We all understand! I wish I had known about this site when my precious Snowball passed.

That tribute is wonderful! Harley

you keep going on and on as long as you need to. we all understand the overwhelming grief when we lose a beloved pet.

that tribute is indeed beautiful. I'm so sorry for your loss, I hope with time, it gets easier for you. In the meantime, we'll be here to listen.

Harley will be a part of every day you live, and there is no reason to apologize for that.
Your friend made a wonderful tribute to him.

I'm soooo sorry for your loss. When you responded to my post regarding my mother's dog Bandit and mentioned Harley, I realized it was your post I was glued to for weeks on end keeping up with Harley's progress. I haven't been on here for over a week, but I'm really saddened to see Harley is no longer with you. As you've said before, no one can say anything to you to make it better, but poor little Harley is no longer suffering. I'm truly sorry for your loss..poor little guy.

Thank you all for your kind words.......

It was two weeks yesterday and I thought it might get easier, but on Friday night I had a major "melt down". I had been having anxiety attacks all day thinking about my Mom and was feeling very stressed all evening. I went to bed at my normal time, Buster hopped up on the bed with me and from that moment on, I FELT Harley on the bed! He always snuggled up against my legs on the edge of the bed and I was positive I could feel him. I kept reaching down, expecting to hear my grumpy old man moan and complain that I was disturbing his sleep. Buster had a restless night too, so maybe Harley came for a visit

I ended up crying myself to sleep at some point during the night..... hopefully I won't have too many of those nights...

I believe you felt Harley last night. You needed him and he came. When Sophie died, I felt her tap at my legs, like she would do when she wanted up. I bent over to get her and no one was there. Piper and HRH Missie were upstairs. I like to think that she came for a visit and to let me know she was OK. Harley was just letting you know that he is still watching over you.

Very beautiful tribute to Harley...
Dont ever feel you have said too much about him. If people dont want to know about it, its up to them not to read it. Say what you want when you want about him. He definately was a special dog to you and always will be, and for you not to be hurt from his passing would seem strange.
It does get a little easier with time, but there is no definate amount of time that is needed for each of us.
Take all the time you need, there will always be someone here ready to offer up some kind words when the hurt is too much to bear on your own.

Take care of yourself.

Yes,what Erykah says is certainly true, most of us have lost furry loved ones,I wish I had been on this Forum at my time of grief,I am sure it would have helped, when other people don't understand..
Many of us probably sit by our PC's and cry with you, first losing your mom and then Harley, there is only so much you can deal with by ourselves..
You can write about Harley and missing your mom whenever you feel the need,we will always listen and feel for you.
