need answer tonight....
Hello-
Taking kitty into the clinic to check thyroid level in the early morning. She is fasting overnight. I need to leave the house before the clinic opens and do not know whether to give her the Methimazole medication in the morning before putting her in the carrier. Once I put her in the carrier, I will not be able to give her the pill. Anyone know if the morning dose should be given before the thyroid blood level test? Thanks. |

Yes, but when we get there they will be doing the blood test so there wouldn't be much time between when I give the med and when the test is taken...

Is there an emergency clinic you can call tonight so you can check to find out when to give the pill to the cat? Before leaving your house, or just before getting the blood test - and that would be at the vet's.

I've left a message but they haven't called back and I don't expect they are going to before I need to leave for the 2 hr drive.
Thanks for answering. |
