The Midnight Pooper

I need some advice as to how to teach my puppy to wait for the morning. Almost every night she will wake me up to take her outside...generally between 2 and 4 in the morning.

The things is - I know she can hold it, she used to do it in the past and she can now go all day but for some reason she has started to demand to go out in the middle of the night.

I have tried everything I can think of...from ignoring her and encouraging her to go back to sleep (which doesn't work since she will just whine louder and I am afraid she will wake the neighbors) to feeding her earlier/later...long walks before bed...I don't reward her and neither do I punish her but I really want (need) this to stop!!

Thanks
