More summer & the liviv' is easy
Below, a summer storm passes Abby by . . . .
Below, I was laying in a hammock in the shade of some poplars with Abby hanging out as well . . . . Below, Carol works on digging some potatoes while Abby comes over hoping for a treat. . . . . . the white thing is a cow skull from the valley pasturelands below. Below, the wind picks up as another storm bears down on Abby and Keeper's home Below, river walking in Threepoint Creek near Abby & Keeper's place . . . . . this is good exercise for Keeper's arthritic hip. This is a pretty obscure place - you drive across the stream just in the distance using a concrete pad underneath the water as a shortcut - but apparently famous enough to be used in the dialogue of CBC's Wild Roses, which is filmed near here (even though they were actually talking about the Bow River). The pic of Abby and Keeper in the river is my favourite too but I really love the colours and detail in the other photos as well.

Have another one . . . . . from two years ago, Abby and Keeper in nearly the same place. Nice thing to do on hot summer days and about a five minute drive from the house. This obviously freezes up in the winter and then, in the distance, serves as a crossing for vehicles over the ice, again for the shortcut. It's shallow enough that every year, when someone goes through the ice (it's a river with moving water, not a lake after all) it's more of a comedic error than a tragedy.

Macomom - if you do nothing else on this board - don't ever miss a RickC thread, they always have just the most spectacular, beautiful pics. He is a talented photographer and seems to be a wonderful human (that's what Abby and Keeper think anyhow - and so do we).

The pics are great, but it also doesn't hurt that you have two cute furbabies in them
