Sick dog lacking vet

I live in a small community in Thailand where the vets don't know and do much. So, I need help!

My 5 1/2 month old pug has been vomiting for about a week -- until today, only at night (he's been able to digest food during the day until today).

At first, I took him off of his treats. That didn't help. Then, I gave him plain rice. That helped only once. I tried feeding him less, more often. I tried a less-potent food. I tried plain yogurt (which also worked once). I tried giving him his last food of the day in late afternoon.

Needless to say, he's lost a lot of weight. But, he still has energy and an appetite.

I took him to the vet this morning where he was diagnosed with pneumonia -- which makes sense, but from my research is more of a bi-product of the constant vomiting (so the cause is still not being addressed). He was given a shot of antibiotics and cannot eat food until tonight, when we are also supposed to give him an enzyme supplement.

I was worried about worms but there has never been any worms in his vomit.

I am really overwhelmed by having to take care of this problem without good vet support so I would really appreciate any helpful advice. Thank you!
