This year, I broke down and bought 2 yards of black mulch. Hubby & I layed it down (about 4 inches thick) on May 24 weekend and haven't had to weed since!

I'm loving the extra time on the weekends now.

What a beautiful garden, klm! I love all the trees and shrubs I can see in those photo's, and how lush and green the lawn is, without all the lovely flowers as a bonus . Our annual rainfall here is so poor that we can't have a garden like that, not in Summer anyway. My Spring garden is okay if it rains.

Mon Cheri. This one is in the "X" spot as I have yet to find any rose starting with X. Planted Mon Cheri in Fall of 1997 and I bought it from of all places, Canadian Tire! It's one of my better roses.

They're all hanging out at hazel's house

Love the early morning panorama, klm! What a view to wake up to! All your flowers are so beautiful! Love your lawn ornaments and creepers, too!

My parents' neighbor had one like that--they're really robust and can get out of hand pretty quickly (Unless hazel takes some of it home...then it just dies ) I forget what they called it...some sort of floribunda or something? Or is that just a class of rose, not a variety name?
