The Moots!
Nikki and Lupa had a bath yesterday. That was an exercise to say the least! But it was a huge success. They smell great, are so soft, and are shedding like crazy. I have to say the self serve doggy wash at Bosley's, for $10.00, was a bargain and a half. They have walk in tubs, rubber aprons for us, they supply the shampoo (that's a lot of shampoo for a Malamute) and they supply all the towels you need (ditto the comment about shampoo...). They have forced air blowers for drying, but I chose to towel dry and let the pups dry outside. Lupa is 18 months today by the way! Nikki will be on Saturday. Sorry, tried to reduce the size and it doesn't seem to have worked.

Wow, what a couple of beauties you have! Sure like the idea of self serve doggie wash too. Never heard of that before, we have mobile grooming but the self serve sounds way more economical.

There they are!!! Hi, there, Nikki and Lupa!! Handsome boy and beautiful girl. You definitely don't post enough pics of them, DD...
What did the 'kids' think about the baths?

You know Hazel I think they were okay with the bath actually. I know they felt better - they had a good play after. Lupa's coat looks a little off kilter, she has spots where all the undercoat has lifted out, and other areas that are still really thick. Nikki's is harder to see it that way. We have dust rhino's right now with big furballs rolling all over the yard.

You should have done it earlier, when the birds were building nests! They'd have loved using the fur to keep their eggs warm!

I put some of Marty's fur outside for the sparrows that have a nest on my deck . I am not sure if they find it or it got blown away. I am not sure how many babies they had but the sure is one busy little mother, I see her flying back and forth all day with bugs for her babes.

I suspect they found it, Barkingdog. The finches and sparrows here will comb the welcome mats (we use the rough astroturf mats and they really catch the hair) for dog fur. Every nest we find has a large amount of setter hair in it!
