Dog Food Manufacturers

Here is an updated list of manufacturers:


*Menu Foods is a cannery. They do not make kibbles or raw diets.*


Artemis: Not made by Menu Foods. Canned diets made by Evanger's.

Aunt Jeni's (Home Made 4 Life): No products made by Menu Foods. They make all their own products. Does not use wheat. This is a raw diet.

Azmira: Not made by Menu Fodos, but will not disclose name of
manufacturer. Does not use wheat.

Blue Buffalo: Not made by Menu Foods. Canned foods made by American Nutrition in Utah. Dry foods made at CJ Foods in Kansas.

Bravo: Raw food that does not use wheat.

Blue Seal (Bright Life, By Nature, Organics): Loaf Style wet made by
Menu Foods but not involved in the recall. No other foods made by Menu.

Breeder's Choice (Avo Derm, Active Care, Advance Diets, Select Choice, Health Food for Dogs, Pinnacle): Some wet products made by Menu Foods, but not involved in the recall.

Canidae/Felidae: No products made by Menu Foods. Canned food made at Evanger's plant. Dry food made at Pied Piper in Texas.

Canine Caviar: Not made by Menu Foods. Canned food made by American Nutrition in Utah. Dry food made at Pied Piper in Texas.

Castor & Pollux: Organix and Ultramix canned food made by Menu Foods but not involved in the recall. Does not use wheat.

Champion Pet Foods (Acana, Orijen):: Not made by Menu Foods. Made in their own facility in Canada. Does not use glutens.

Chicken Soup for the Pet Lovers Soul: Diamond Pet Food product, has
their own plant.

Companion Natural: Raw food that does not use wheat.

Del Monte Brands (Cycle, Gravy Train, Kibbles 'n Bits, Meow Mix, Nature's Recipe, Reward, Skippy, 9 Lives): Not made by Menu Foods. Some products have now been recalled. See www.delmonte. com

Drs. Foster & Smith: Canned foods made by Menu Foods but not
involved in the recall. Refused to say where dry is made. Does not use wheat.

Eagle Pack: Canned food made by Menu Foods but not involved in the
recall. Dry food made at their own plant. Does not use wheat.

Evanger's: No foods made by Menu Foods. They have their own cannery.

Flint River Ranch: No foods made by Menu Foods. Some diets do contain wheat.

4 Star Active Life: No foods made by Menu Foods.

Fromm Family Foods: No products made by Menu Foods. Dry food is made at their own plant in Wisconsin. Canned products made at a plant outside of the U.S. Does not use wheat.

Go! Natural (Petcurean): Canned made at Menu Foods, Canada. Dry made at various Canadian mills. Does not use wheat.

Great Life: Dry food is made in Kansas. Unless there is another plant in Kansas, I'm guessing it's the same one Blue Buffalo uses. They source their own ingredients, all from the US. (except the New Zealand lamb)

Halo Purely for Pets (Spot's Stew): Not made at Menu Foods.

Healthy Pet Products (Life's Abundance): Not made by Menu Foods.
Kibble is made by Ohio Pet FOod. Does not use wheat.

Merrick: No products made by Menu Foods. All Merrick foods, dry,
canned and treats are made by their own facility, and they use all American
ingredients.

Natura (Evo, California Natural, Healthwise, Innova, Mother Nature, Karma Organic): Has their own plant for dry foods. Canned food is made at
the South Dakota Menu Foods plant, which is not one of the plants involved in the recall. Does not use foreign ingredients except New Zealand lamb. Does not use wheat.

Natural Balance (Dick Van Patten's): Dry food is made at the Diamond Plant is Sacramento. Canned is made at American Nutrition.

Nature's Logic: Refused to say whether or not any products are made
by Menu Foods, but said they are not affected by the recall, and does not use wheat in their products.

Nature's Variety/Nature's Variety Prairie: Canned food made by Menu
Foods but not involved in the recall, supplies their own ingredients, and does
not use wheat. Raw food made in-house. Dry food made at Pied Piper in Texas.

Newman's Own Organics: Didn't specify which manufacturer they use,
but said "We contract with an organic- certified manufacturer to make our foods, although we develop the formulations and source the ingredients" .
Petfoodexpress. com says it's made by Menu Foods but not included in the recall. Does not use wheat.

Old Mother Hubbard (Neura, Old Mother Hubbard, Wellness): Some
products made by Menu Foods but not involved in the recall. Does not use wheat.

Pet Promise: Not made by Menu Foods. Made by Purina. Canned foods are made at Purina's plant in Wisconsin. Dry Foods are made at Purina's
plant in Denver.

Pet Guard: Refused to say whether or not they use Menu Foods.

Solid Gold: No products made by Menu Foods. Dry food made by Diamond.

Timberwolf Organics: When first contacted, they refused to say
whether or not their food is made by Menu Foods. Said they can't give out
that information. Dry food made at Chenango Valley Pet Foods in New York.

Trader Joe's: Some foods made by Menu Foods but not involved in the
recall. They have voluntarily removed all canned foods made by Menu from their shelves, only as a precaution.

Whole Foods 365 Everyday Value: Would not say whether or not any of their products are made by Menu Foods, but said they don't use the
ingredient that caused the problem.

Wysong: Most foods are made at their own facility. Their Au Jus and
Stew and Gravy lines are made by Menu Foods but not involved in the recall.
Does not use wheat. Some use wheat germ and wheat grass powder, which are different. Refused to say where ingredients are purchased.
