Hi All Animal Lovers
Hi All you animal lovers, I'm from South Africa.
Joined here after Googling bout my pups breath, figured it was because of her teething, but wanted to make sure, seems a "Carina" was Spot On with her answers I had come across, I hope she still frequents the forums. looking forward to learning from everyone, have a great weekend ahead Neill and Coffee *Bark |

I remember Karin, she was a Swedish girl, living in Florida and I believe the love of her life was a Rottweiler.
She has not been here for years

Hi everyone, Coffee has been showing signs of discomfort by whimpering when I lean over her when I move on the couch and Im not even touching her. I will take her to the vet in the morning as she is keeping very still and not really wanting attention it seems. It looks like her main canines are pushing through right next to her main baby canines. Could this be a factor? Do you think she could be having serious toothache? Any advice welcome.
Thanks regards Last edited by DogsyDog; June 21st, 2011 at 05:38 PM. |

Sorry, even though no response, lastnight was quite stressed before googling and surfing around to see what the problems could be, found a site that was spot on with her symptoms and she seems to be in better spirits today, without a visit to the vet

What did you find out, DogsyDog? Glad to hear Coffee's feelin' a bit better! Not a good idea to rely on the internet, though--lots of misinformation out there.
Pups do tend to get pretty cruxy, though, when teething. We always used to use old washcloths--get them damp, throw them in the freezer, let her chew on them while frozen (supervised, of course, so she can't ingest pieces). Seem to soothe the gums and will help her work the old teeth out...

I found some info on some site, won't divuldge name here, but here is the text: "Physical distress. Whining, apathy and diarrhea may appear. For some puppies, teething can be quite painful, and they respond as they would if they had any other physical ailment. A teething puppy may whine for no apparent reason. Puppies in pain may become apathetic and less interested in playing. There may be a disruption of the puppy's digestive tract--the puppy's appetite may wane and bowel movements may become loose and watery. " I had made some "Slush Puppies" last weekend which seemed to help her "teething", from the idea from a post by "Carina", the frozen cloth sounds brilliant, thanks again. Attached was my tryout with the frozen treats and biscuits in ice. Kind regards DogsyDog |

kameron, go to the proper forum, then click on the button at the top above the brown menu bar that says "New Thread". When the reply window comes up, type in your title, then the body of your post, and click on "Submit New Thread" below the reply window.

try this: click on "Today's Posts", then click on a forum topic in the right column that would best suit your thread post title, when you land on the next page, look for a blue button somewhere near the top left saying "New Thread", click there and Voila, Good Luck
