Billy the dog is sick
My dog Billy is an eight month old boxer. He has a darkish/purple mass on the tip of his tail. It is about 3/4 of an inch long and a 1/4 inch wide. It almost looks like a grub worm slightly under the skin. He sleeps way more than he should, and his eyes are constantly bloodshot. I was hoping you could tell me what I might need to do.
Thanks |

My suggestion is to see a vet. Boxers are typically energetic dogs. The mass on his tail alone is enough to warrant a vet visit, but combined with lethargy, I would make an appt. as soon as possible. good luck

I am assuming he has a docked tail...............if so, it may be a secondary issue because of a 'bad' docking job.......
if not.....check out this link................ http://www.peteducation.com/article....2+2111&aid=424 Vet visit for sure. Hugz to Billy. |

Went to the vet today. Looks like he's alright. It was scar tissue from the tail being removed.
