Question how to keep injured cat away from wound on neck - help!!!!

My outdoor cat Chester recently suffered some kind of injury to his neck (the vet said it had been bitten). The wound festered and Chester had to go under anesthesia, have a drain put in to help with the pus/infection, and have it sewn up.

My question is ... how do I keep him from scratching it back open? (hes already started to tear it open) Its a LARGE wound, and I don't think an Elizabethan collar would be helpful.

Any suggestions? I've got to keep him away from it for 14 more days, and its not looking like I'm going to be able to...

Please help!!!!!
