Quick question..

I went to my new BFs house today for the first time.. And he has 2 cats.. 1 had a hairball he was trying to get up And his mom put a bit of vaseline on Oreos nose (not his actuall nose, but like, right above that on his muzzle) And he licked it off. She said that it helps him get the hairball up. And sure enough, up it came..

I dont know much about cats, or vaseline for that matter, But i was mortified when i seen her do that. I couldnt help but think that it is bad for his health in some way. I didnt say anything, as i didnt want our first meeting to turn into somebody getting offended by my questioning their actions..

Just wondering if the kitty persons of the forum could tell me if it will harm him or not.. Cause if it will, i will certainly mention it to her, Maybe with some backup for why it isnt so good....

Just wondering..

Thanks.
Jessica and keely, And oreo This time as well!
