dog medication

Hi
Recently my dog was very sick and in the hospital for a week. He is home now, and on four medications. I was wondering exactly what each medication was for, and have been unsuccessful in my search. The medications are : Novonidazol, Zantac, Sulcrate, and Clavamox(which I have found info on...but am not totally clear on). Any information regarding what these medications are specifically for would be great.
Thanks, Mikura

meds

Novonidazol generic for Metronidazole, is used to treat bacterial, amebiasis, or trichomoniasis infections. It may also be used for other problems as determined by your doctor. It will not work for colds, flu, or other virus infections.

Zantac- reduces stomach acid production. (I use this one myself for acid stomach). Used to treat and prevent duodenal ulcers, gastric ulcers, manage gastric hypersecretory states and gastroesophageal reflux disease. Also used to treat the symptoms of heartburn.

Sulcrate or Carafate (here in the USA) ) is used to treat and prevent duodenal ulcers. It works by forming a ``barrier'' or ``coating'' over the ulcer. This protects the ulcer from the acid of the stomach, allowing it to heal. It is best taken with water on an empty stomach 1 hour before meals and at bedtime.

Clavamox - Amoxicillin + clavulanate is a combination of two drugs that act together to treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria. Infections treated with amoxicillin + clavulanate may include skin infections, bone infections, wound infections, infections in the mouth, pneumonia and bladder infections.
