Question Licks Himself a LOT

I know this isn't an emergency thing, but it is on my mind....
My three-year old Yorkie has developed the habit of licking his penis two or three times an hour. That in itself may not be all that strange, but he does it for about two minutes straight each time - and when you think about how long two minutes is to do that, it seems excessive.
I have checked his package, and I cannot see any redness or swelling or anything out of the ordinary, but then again, I'm not a vet.
Any thoughts, suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
Matt

It's perfectly ok to ask this question.

Does your dog have any trouble urinating? Is there any blood in the urine. Any abnormalities?

The best course of action is to see your vet for further answers to your question.

Good luck.

Nope no insult meant..lol. You see sometimes we get some people trying to ask dumb questions to get people riled up. Not saying this is true in your case. That is why I suggested a vet trip. Could be one of many things from a urine infection, bladder stones, yeast infection to OCD. Or maybe it just feels good to him.
