Dogs eating grass

Does anyones dog eat grass? Our 2 greyhounds do but our other one doesn't.We give them vitamins, fresh factors and other things that will give them greenery in thier diet but they still graze.
Any other suggestions.

I always say to them, "hey your not cows"

no idea!!! I guess this is one of the biggest dog behaviour mysteries ever. All the dogs I ever had ate grass. One of my current mutts loves to tuck in after we come back from a walk. But I've noticed that everytime any of my dogs had an upset tummy they always headed for the grass. It has been suggested that grass is a natural emetic (induces vomiting) so maybe it makes their stomachs feel better. But my daft dogs eat it when they're well too...maybe it gets them high
We even had a cat who enjoyed a good chow on grass, although I think she just copied the dogs as she always followed them around and joined in with any mischief they were up to.
I've never seen any harm in it and allow them to do it, but only in my garden, never in a public place in case they pick up parasites from other dogs poop that might be lying about!

Ah, mine do too. I don't think anyone really knows why - they do sometimes when their stomachs are upset - maybe it makes them throw up easier? But mine do it regularly & they are quite healthy. I guess I'd worry if we sprayed the grass with chemicals, but we don't.

My big old dog (since passed at age 15; a lifetime of grass eating didn't hurt her any) grazed regularly, she was like a goat. She also ate rabbit & deer poo whenever she could (we're in the country) and it never seemed to hurt her.

Dogs are just weird.

Mostly all dogs do it, I wouldn't worry unless the grass has been sprayed with pesticides/herbicides or fertilizers. IF the grass is natural, they'll know enough to stop.

There is a digestive enzyme in the grass that they seem to enjoy.

All the dogs I've had all have chewed on it from time to time.

MOOOOO

hahaha
