With much love tonight, Ginger and Hobo left for the Bridge...

Today we made the heartbreaking decision that it was indeed time to give Ginger and Hobo their wings

Ginger's rear legs were just not working well at all and poor Hobo was just getting older by the day...he was deaf/blind, his rear legs were giving out, he was becoming incontinent.

This weekend they both went off their food and both slept about 20hrs a day...no type of life for man or beast. It was as if they tag teamed to go together. They both showed me they were ready so we granted them this final wish.

I can't imagine what life will be like in the next little while but I do know we did do right by them.

A few last pics of my sweeties...

I'm so sorry to read this. The most precious gifts we can give are often the hardest ones as well.

Oh Diane, if ever there were two dogs that already had there wings and halos before today, it would be Hobo and Ginger. I am so very sorry for the loss you must be feeling but I take such comfort that they were the best loved and cared for. Thank you for allowing them to accompany each other to the bridge .

All my love to you and Pat.

it was so hard for you today. With the loss of your beautiful dogs, I am sure you heart feels heavy tonight. When I looked at the two of them walking, I think that is where they are now.At the bridge, walking along the many trails that are there.

My deepest condolences.....

OH NO! I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am that you had to let them both go.

It sounds like they both really wanted to be together to the end. I think maybe it was their way of telling you they didn't want to be without each other.

You are a brave and wonderful mommy.

Thank you all so very very much for your kind words of support.

I have been swinging from numbness to waves of sobbing with not much in between since they passed

In a moment of numbness today I called Pet Friends to find out what happens next and started sobbing because I didn't know where they were...I have never not known where they were I am pretty sure the lady thinks I am crazy. We are going today to pick out the urn (they are being cremated together) and hopefully they should be home by the weekend

We are thankful for our many thoughtful friends that are supporting us and thankful too for Ziggy and Zuzu who are offering their own little distractions along the way

The weather is going to be nice here again today so I will go for another long walk in the woods...I feel they are close to me there and the fresh air does a world of good too.

Once again, thank you all

Di,my heart breaks for you
I know they have left a huge void in your heart,it is so very painful.

They are together, the way they would have wanted, you will feel a bit better, once they are back home where they belong.
It's been 5 months since my boy passed and it gives me comfort having him here with me.
So very sorry Ginger
