Horrible/Acidic smelling vomit
My 18-month old lab just threw up and it was really runny. No chunks of food or anything, just the grit leftover from digested food I guess. But the smell of it is like nothing I've ever smelled before. It actually smells more like diarhea but I saw it come out of her mouth so I know it's not. She has had off/on diarhea for the past few weeks, we haven't changed her food recently. She doesn't really go outside alone so I'm not sure what she could have gotten into that would cause this. But the smell is what worries me the most. Should I call her vet?

Yes, go to the vet.
Take a sample with you of the vomit and diarrhea.

It's probably bile, which isn't good. YES take her to the vet!

Follow up to Horrible Smelling Vomit
Thanks for the advice, I called her vet, and I'm going to watch her, but now I think I've figured out why it might have happened. Is it possible that she could get sick to her stomach from eating another dog's feces? This morning for the first time ever, (my older Lab does it and she copied him) she ate dog poop she found along our walk. Could that cause her to vomit?
Thanks, beasleyinca |
