Aren't they sweet? When I was working in Winnipeg, a family tried to cross Pembina Hwy - a very busy street so a group of us went out to stop the traffic while the goose family crossed. What a hoot! One little gosling couldn't make it up the curb so I lifted him up - he was sooo soft and downy... it was a wonderful experience!

I think the geese are having a good year, too. On our trip out to MN last weekend we passed quite a few huge family groups--I don't think I've ever seen that many goslings in a spring!

Cute pics, chico!

One year our town rounded up hundreds of Geese, put them in a truck where half of them died:sad:
It seems so senseless,no matter what they do,the geese are here to stay.
Living not far from Lake Ontario,we see them everywhere, not yet in my backyard though..phew
The mom and dad Goose, gave me a few dirty looks, when I got too close to the babies.
There are hundreds down by the lake, also Swans and Ducks of course, love'em

Arently baby gosslings so adorable??
We have 2 families here, one walks down the road everymorning to get to the creek, just at the time im waking up for work. IMO there is nothing more beautiful than waking up to wildlife.

Thanks for sharing them.

Gorgeous photos! I love the babies . We have tons and tons here too, and they tend to block one of the roads I take to work, lol. No babies there, though... I think when they have babies they keep them further in the field and away from the road, which is pretty busy, so I never get to see them close up.

I love love love our geese! (Especially when I hear the Americans whine about them!!! ) I call them our little Canadian Invaders! I think they are just beautiful, and those goslings are so adorable! My dad crabs about them taking over the golf courses.... and I always remind him that if we left more of their natural habitat alone, he wouldn't have to share his golf courses!

I LOVE geese!! And your pics are great!

When I was little, my parents used to take me quite often to areas where there was a pond and some ducks and geese, where we would feed them popcorn and bread. Geese are funny with the hissing and they seem to love attacking people in the crotch area.

Sad thing is there are hardly any where I live, and we even have "sanctuaries" along all three river marshes. Probably because they are many hunters here.

On opening day for fowl hunting, it was like waking up to 1812 Overture.
