Herbie the Love Pug - Update!

Well, I am very sorry I haven't been more active on the board of late. I've been incredibly busy and incredibly tired of late! In fact I am going to bed right after this post (7:30 PM!) and my sweet BF will tend to little Herb the rest of the night.

Herb is a wonder, a delight, a sheer pleasure! Of course, he is a puppy and he has his issues, but things are coming along so well! He now pretty much holds himself in during the day while my BF and I are at work (BF comes home for lunch). He has learned that outside is the potty place. The cold has been very difficult fot him though - but he just does his business extra fast then asks mommy to pick him up and warm him with cuddles! He has accidents at night, but I've been waking up pretty early and taking him out so those are getting to be less and less. He does nibble us a little too much, but has stopped with the toe nibbling! We start puppy preaschool on Tuesday -can't wait!!

He does so many funny things I dont know where to begin - but this little boy is so clever and smart. He also appears to be very healthy and is growing well. We really lucked out!

I love him so mucn and we couldnt be happier with the little guy! Here are some new pics of him in his cozy sweater.

Hope everyone is well!

What a cutie. When Champ was a pup, he was too sexy for his fur, I think this fellow has taken over that theme song This spring, all the little girl pups are going to be drooling over him !!

Cold

SarahJane, I love his sweater too. My little Valentin has issues with the cold here too. I put a coat on over his sweater (and on those -25 days, his little felt mitts too). I got both of them at JE Mondou. The little felt mitts have velcro closures, so they should fit Herbie now and as he grows (there were not expensive either).

I agree, he is just soooo gorgeous, how can you stand to leave him every morning. I would be so tempted to put him in my pocket and take him with me (or be calling in sick a whole lot

Keep those "pin up" photos coming.

If you ever need a doggie sitter, let me know

Sarahjane he is just the cutest pup and not kidding he is the cutest Pug pup I have seen. Just a little trivia they are related to the Mastiff family we call my friend Mel's the mini mastiff partially cause he beats up Buddy all the time and Bud is only about 155 pounds heavier than Scooby

Thank You!

Oh thank you so much everyone for your kind words! I am indeed enjoying puppyhood so much.

Please see new Herbie pics in the Pictures section!

It is a massive struggle for me to go to work every morning. I am always trying to figure out excuses to stay home... but he's really good in the morning, he does cry while I get ready but never when I actually leave. I think he sort of has anticipatory seperation anxiety...lol. Or maybe he's just 3 months old!!!

Luckily, I get updates from my BF on MSN while I'm at work... he gives me the whole lowdown whenever he comes back from a visit with the lovepug!
And lately, he always has good news... Herb has been doing so well with the housetraining. The only thing we have left to conquer (pretty much) is the occasional excited pee that he will have when he's playing hard. I think he forgets to wait when he's too happy!

Exciting development today, Herbie got his first mini bath (he was covered in mud from our walk in the warm sun - finally!) and he also walked all the way up the 4 flights of stairs to my apartment today!! I'm so proud of my little guy!!!

Hey mastifflover, wanted to ask you - are you referring to the same black pug Scooby as rescued from Foxy's???

Oh and here's Herbie's Dogster page...
