No Rescues at Royal Winter Fair

Sadly I have to say that there will be no rescues at the Royal this year as they don't have room for us. The Royal was a key event for many rescues to meet the public and raise funds. With the Tsunami, Katrina, Rita, the price of gas, electricty, etc. etc., I suspect many people are going to be tapped out from giving.

We've got a tough road ahead.

Gosh, I've gone to the Royal for years. I have never noticed rescues being there.

As in the Roya Agriculture Winter Fair? Is that the Royal as in the livestock/horse show in Toronto!? "The once a year, the country comes to the city" thing??

http://www.royalfair.org/

I've also gone (for the horse show) but I never realized it was a key event for rescues! Why don't they have room for you - its huge!!? That is sad!

Yes, this is the one. Not sure why they don't have room. With all the disasters this year and now losing the Royal, it's going to be a tough year.
