nervous pug?

I have a 4 year old male pug who throws up all of the time, I have taken him to 3 different vets here in our area and all they have had me do is keep him on lamb and rice, and elevate his food and also give him 1/4c of food 4 times a day, I have done all of these things to no avail, and this feeding procedure has become a way of life. But he still vomits several times a day (6-8
times) He shakes his head and usuallys sneezes then vomits. Many times his food is not digested even though it has been several hrs. since I fed him. And this vomiting has not affected his weight, he still weighs 20 lbs. everything else is fine, perfect health, I think something is wrong with his throat, or he's nervous. He's worse when I am leaving, but does it no matter what. I need help, if you can't help should I take him to the vet school, I love him but can't tolerate cleaning up undigested lamb and rice for much longer!

I have no idea, but go to www.google.com and type in "chronic vomiting in dogs".

You will get tons of information on causes and cures!

I can't see it being a throat condition if the food isn't digested when he throws up..and he must be digesting something or he would be losing weight.

When did you get the dog and when did the vomiting start?

IF the lamb and rice is not working I suggest something different like baby food to start.

Again there is no weight loss so I am confused...can't be vomiting everything.

thanks!

Thank you all so much for your replys, especially Timmy, I was dumbfounded when I read all of that, so much is like my little PUG, so I am going to call the Vet School and take my findings on COPD with me, hopefully someone can help us. He is especially bad this am, only been awake 2 hrs, and has already thrown up 5 times. Will keep you posted on findings.
Thanks again!

Wonder if dogs can suffer from acid reflux like humans do. I have it and I went through a lot of what your puppy is doing it.
