Help with puppy breed ident.

Hi everyone. I came across this site while trying to figure out the breed of my puppy. We found him pretty dehydrated and pretty much starving and heard that there were 3 others found that looked the same, he definately has lab but i'm pretty sure he's not fullblooded, his ears aren't as long and they stick out to the side, plus his tail is kinda curly. Also his stomach is almost bare. No one can seem to figure out exactly what he might be. I've attached 2 pics hopefully they work.
Thanks for any comments you may have.

How is the puppy now and where on earth did you find this cutie?

Did the vet think he was otherwise in good health?

The pics are a little dark but I see maybe some border collie there myself very cute boy.

My dad and his friend found him while they were golfing runnin around on the golf course, he had what looked like a pretty bad dogbite which we cleaned out, and were told just to keep putting triple antibiotic on, that's now healed, and it's only been about 2 weeks. otherwise he's in great overall health, and very playful. you can barely even see his scar now.

Very hard to tell when they are pups, but I'm thinking by the more oval feet a cross with a smaller breed, not the beefy pit types or larger breeds that often have big muscular feet as pups.

Hmmm, maybe some other kind of terrier then.
Very smart puppy though, he's already practically housetrained, and knows how to sit when told along with a few other things.

Your dog looks exactly like Chinacoreys dog, they've got to be the same kind. Just different colors.

Her dog looks a little beefier than mine though... my pup has very slender legs and a more slender face. Could be remnants of his illness... but I agree, they look very similar!!

Just a thought.....check his paws for webbing. Labs have webbing. I have a lab mix and he looks like he has lab in him....but I am no pro. But the webbing could clue you in some.

Very weird to me, you both also mentioned that their tails were sort of curly. How old are they and how much do they weigh?

To me he looks like lab for sure, and first thought when I saw the pics was pitt mixed in. Those eyes!!! They are set far apart.

Good luck with him, he'll start growing into whatever he is soon. Little cutie!

My puppy weighs about 3-4 kilos. Though he weighs a bit less now since he was sick. He's putting weight back on! Also, I believe him to be about 4-5 months.

judging by the relatively short nose and face shape, i would say it had some austrailian shepherd in it.

i've seen 2 puppies with that kinda face..my g/fs aussie/lab mix, and a purebred aussie. both had white patches on their chests, however.

just food for thought!

I'm gonna guess Lab x Akita. Something about those eyes
and the mention of a curly tail and also those ears...they may go up!
Sooo cute
