Blaze is beautiful!! To look at him now, you'd never think he started out with so many problems. His fur is so soft and silky looking!

This maybe a bit of a change of subject but I saw the "beware of doggy" sign beside the german shepherd and I was wondering if anybody knows the rule about those. I heard a long time ago that if you have a sign like that and your dog bites someone you can't really defend yourself because the fact you put a sign up means you knew your dog was dangerous. Anyone know if that is true?
And on topic-- that guy is such a happy, healthy-looking fella!! |

I know in my town if you put "beware of dog" you are admiting the dog will bite... " guard dog on duty" is ok to let people know you have a dog inside... both the same to me.
I once had a very large sign on my garage beware of dog could be seen far..to the road. My Aussie and Shih Tzu was not going to bite anyone... Sign in my door now has pics of my boys with their name on it...incase of fire or any other thing that might happen. |

Noticed Bark Collar
First - Beautiful golden! They are such good dogs. 2nd - I notice that he's got a bark collar on? Do those work? Our last newfie barked more than any other dog we've ever had and we had talked about a bark collar but I can't help thinking that they are mean?? How hard of a shock do they give? Also, I want my dog to bark if someone comes close to the fence, I just don't want them barking at the moon, stars, clouds, wind, etc. Thanks!

Blaze and Jordie can bark all they want.... we live in the country in a house. The collars are for their invisable fence, the shock in very mild but to tell you the truth they haven't felt it in so long. Both boys stay in the yard and often I don't even put the collars on them if we are justing going out to play for a short while. I know nothing about the bark collars...sorry. |

Not all bark collars shock. There are bark collars that spray citronelle too. I thought of trying one, but Valentin is so small, that he would probably fall over just from the weight of the collar.
