im hanging in, my laptop died a week ago again. bummed but whatever. im exhausted. Ambien isnt even getting more than 5 or 6 hours sleep a night. inlaws are here driving me absolutely insane... they are completely illogical people.

lots of wiggly baby!!! no ultra yet though. my doctor is in the process of starting up his own practice, i think some of this has gotten lost in the shuffle. i shoudl have had my ultra 2 weeks ago. holiday season doesnt help either.

FG, how ya hanging in?? hows everyone else doing??

Yep, it's our first! We've been a little quiet cuz I kept worrying about it, but I guess that's normal. I'm pretty much the size of a small house already though, so I guess we can't really hide it anymore. I just keep reading the posts in this thread so I can see all the fun I have to look forward to!

I can't really tell if it's movement I'm feeling yet, I think it is because it's always in the same area though... just kind of random pingy and poppy feelings but only in the evening/night... if that IS the kid, I'm in trouble - it's gonna be a night owl.

probably baby!! most are active when you hold still. your movement puts them to sleep, when you stop moving, they wake up. Alex is most active in the evening and through out the night.

not to get gross..... but your poop and gas travel BEHIND your uterus now. anything towards the bottom or front of where your uterus is baby movement. it feels much like gas bubbles rolling around, just in a different spot.

how exciting!!!

Yanno, I didn't know that? So it must be baby, cuz it's always in front at the bottom... how cool! Thank you!

It IS so exciting, it really is. I looooove the name Alex, by the way! We haven't even started looking at names, I think we'll wait until we find out if it's a boy or a girl and then we'll have some serious work to do, LOL!

Anyway, I don't think this baby is going to let me stay up to midnight, so off to bed I go. Congrats again, and thanks for the info... Happy New Year!

Hey guys!!!

Tommysmom - congrats!! How exciting!!! I know what you mean by nervous!!! It nice to finally share and talk about it. So you are going to find out the sex? YIPPY!! Whens your next scan? Its hard to tell that soon about the movement but soon enough it will be so defined - you'll love it. Whens your due date?

Ash - how ya doing?? Lots of movement? Did you find out the sex?

Alls good here. 28 weeks this coming Saturday, 8 weeks of work left as of this coming Monday, 12 weeks till baby! WOOT! Im pretty huge right now, up just under 30lbs, feeling like a house but loving every minute of it, I still feel so emotional and blessed by all of it, as each week passes I still think "wow - this baby really will be ours!" LOL!! We start reno's next week, aslans coming out to do it all for us, dawg bless her. Then baby's room - so exciting!! I'll take a belly pic soon and pics of the baby's room when we decide on how to do it up right.

Jeez, everyone's got a baby on the way!!

i've been following along, but can't contribute quite yet.

Congrats again all you moms-to-be!

FG, Aslan from pets.ca is heading out west to help you renovate???? Is she a contractor? We're gonna need some help with putting in hardwood floors eventually, I wonder if she does that? Or tiled backsplashes? Off topic a bit, but I find it intrigueing that she's helping you renovate!

I agree.

Yup, aslans flying out to do our reno's, she's a contractor, we are pretty excited. Hiring/finding a person in Calgary is a gamble and will cost a HUGE fortune, this way I get to meet her and get reno's done.

Kinda off topic but baby related cuz we are on a deadline and doing this in preperation for baby.

Thanks! We should find out the sex sometime this month, I think... I see my doc on Monday and hopefully she'll give me the form to book the next ultrasound then, which means sometime in the next few weeks we'll find out. We're due sometime around June 12th or so - depending on who's dates you follow.

I think it's amazing that Aslan is going out there to do your reno, how exciting is that! Not just getting it done, but knowing it will be done properly by somebody you can trust AND you get to meet her, too!

You're getting so close, I can't imagine how excited you are!

I think Im in panic mode:

Besides reno's starting this week - which Im so happy aslans doing, no panic there, just a tiny bit overwhlemed - until she arrives.

I ordered custom blinds and window coverings for all windows, they arrive on the 15th – after the contractor’s done, so we’ll have to install them and then start baby’s room – clean out and paint, carpets cleaned, buy a crib mattress and change table pad, go to the far north, pick up baby stuff from a friend, pick up and assemble crib and furniture, buy a dresser, buy a glider, attend prenatal classes and the baby shower. WOW!! Panic time?

Ive been buying $50 worth of essentials (wipes, bottles, diapers (only 1 pack), face clothes, blankets, etc) each pay day and its starting to stack up – I hope we are ready for this!!

8 more weeks of work and 12 weeks till baby comes!!

How are you ladies feeling???? xo

i know!! that first time around its -really- over whelming isnt it?? second time around we didnt prep much of anything until the week before hand. -sheepish- i promise, you will do just fine. all the things you put together, purchase, paint or arrange... wont make you a better parent or really help you sleep anymore or feed them better or love them more.... all that will be what comes naturally to a woman and a man who dreamed this lovely Lima up!!! those are the things that matter.

what sort of diapers you going with?? we found Huggies fit our babies butt shapes best. they leaked the least. its all about baby butt shape though.
