Suggestions on fish oil for my cat

Hello,

I'm sure this may have been asked already but I searched and couldn't find anything.

My cat has dandruff and I have read that fish oil and omega-3 oil are good for treating this. I was wondering if someone could tell me some specific brands and where to buy them. As well as how they use it, such as putting it on the dry food, etc.

I can't comment on the treatment, but I get fish oil for my dogs at the pharmacy. I buy whichever one is on sale and lists heavy metal screening on the bottle. I buy capsules as the liquid tends to go rancid fairly quickly.

You might want to try to figure out what's causing the dandruff in the first place, since poor coat condition is often a sign of less than ideal health. What do you feed your kitty? Perhaps you can improve the quality of the ingredients in his diet and increase his moisture intake with more wet food.
