My first attempts at bird pictures

I've never shot birds as a subject before...these are some of today's attempts:

I think I like the blue jay photo best...

Nice shots, bendy!!! Love the cardinal--ours are so skittish this winter! Nice to see some pics, at least

And isn't it great to see your hard work pay off? I'm sure the dogs are happy to see the birds taking advantage of the treats you made--the sooner the birds polish them off, the sooner the dogs will be able to 'help' you make more feeders! Finger-lickin' good!

Great pics Bendy It's nice to see some pics of Cardinals & Blue Jays as those of us in Western Canada don't get to see the birds out here (we do get the the Stellar's Jay though.)

It's a Canon PowerShot, just a point-and-shoot...but with lots of bells and whistles (which I'm still trying to learn about)
Thanks for the nice compliments everybody!

Yours turned out alot better then mine! I still haven't gotten the focus down in my new camera.

These are with a telephoto lens-

I don't get many birds due to the feral cats

I love how cardinals always come in pairs... the females are so pretty, even if they're not as splashy as the males.
