shrew
This happened about a year and a half ago. We moved into an apartment that had a lot of construction going on and there was a pesky little shrew (or mouse) that was in the cupboards and had borrowed into the wall. We literally had 10 traps set up but couldn't catch the thing. One night I was in the bedroom moving furniture and the shrew came running out...I screamed and jumped...my boyfriend screamed and jumped....Oscar my pointer went WHAM with his paw, caught the little thing, looked at us like we were crazy and trotted on out of the room leaving us to clean up. I guess pointers never lose that hunting tendancy.

I can just imagin what your dog was thinking - If they are really scared of that thing, I guess I can help them!
