Willow's more afraid of the lightning than the thunder, frankly I don't blame her... when she was about nine months old she was out taking a pee and lightning hit a hydro pole next to the neighbour's yard. Have you guys ever heard lightning hit something that close? It's horrid!!! She may have even gotten a bit of a zap seeing as she was peeing at the time. She ran directly to her kennel and there she stayed. She was fine before that, even went camping and handled storms with no issue, but since then she's been frightened, not to the destructive point, just to the lay down and shiver point.

I adopted Bailey in a pound , was found as a stray the day before. This place is in the country , we're thinking he was left by the side of a back road (that would explain him being nervous on car rides :sad anyway , the 2 weeks prior to him finding a house / humans, we had tons of thunderstorms. This place is very wooded , he was basicly left alone in the middle of nowhere. So no wonder why that he hates storms.

At least we have going for us the fact that we know why our dogs are afraid of storms. They have pretty logical reasons.

No , I don't think this eould help. Bailey begins to freak out sometimes almost an hour before a storm. So it's not only the thunder , it's everything , the electricity , when the winds are changing .... he's better to predict one than meteo media
