A solution for allergies?
When I was stocking up on cat food yesterday, at the back of the store where they have a grooming service they were clipping two gorgeous cats right down to the undercoat. They looked to be medium to long-haired. The owner said that if they didn't have this done regularly, they wouldn"t be able to keep them since someone in the household was very allergic. He said it made all the difference. From the neck up the fur was left intact, not sure why, but the effect was very strange! Radical, perhaps, but might be a solution for people who don't want to give up their kitties.

hmmm
The mental image of what these cats must look like is going to stick in my mind all day. It sounds very much like a lion cut which many people do to Himalayans. Wonder what the cats think of this? I guess it beats the alternative of having to get rid of them... hmmmm

I have a friend who had her cats done just two weeks ago. They left the face full and it looks like the kitties are wearing boots because they left the paws untouched also. They looked strange! Very cute but strange. My friend said that her cats love it.They seemed happy to me but what do I know LOL

I saw this on my mom's neighbor's cat, a persian. I just assumed it was because he was matted. Maybe not?
