Question Spay incision site

Hey,
I am taking Lindy to the vet on Wednesday however I thought I would put this out there.
Lindy was spayed on July 8 and during play this moring I noticed that the incision site was a bit inflamed. It is reddened and a bit puffy, the scar tissue looks like it is herniating a bit. My knowledge of wounds healing is pretty much limited to perineums but I would think that the site should be pretty much healed by now. Wouldn't you? Is there anything I should put on it. I am sure it can wait for the vet, it is not oozing and doesn't seem to be bothering her, she is not licking at it or anything.
tks
J

My vet told me to mix Hydrogen Peroxide 50-50 with water and to sponge Den-Den's wounds 3-4 times a day to keep area clean. Not drippy, just to thoroughly wet around the incision. This is a different situation, but I wouldn't think it would hurt.

It SOUNDS pretty normal - some redness and bumpiness is usually present.

As long as it's not oozing, very red and swollen, or obviously painful I would say this can wait for your vet visit.

You don't want to put anything on it, as that could very well start her licking it.

I've only used a little aloe vera gel that Sadie doesn't bother with

Her incision is pretty much the same as that, bumpy and pinky.

Thanks. How do they spay by the way? The curious midwife asks. There were three incisions, one central one and two much smaller bilateral ones. Two lower ones I am assuming are for the tubes.

Okay so it is a full hysterectomy. Cool. I am not sure then why Lindy has the two other small incisions. They look like laparoscopic incision sites.

They are having so much fun!! They took sailing lessons all week. My daughter is being investigated because they believe she could be part dolphin, they can't get her out of the water. They ask about Lindy everytime I talk to them. Cute, they only had two days with her before they left.
I got to raft down the river today, very fun. I saw lots of dogs on the shore and a few in the boats, swimming, running after sticks!! Next year that will be Lindy and me!!
