The Photoshop Art thread

I'm sure a few of you have some sort of program, probably photoshop, to alter your pictures into some kind of work of art . . . . . if so, throw some examples into this thread.

Keeper in the forest on a foggy day . . . . with a metallic effect:

Keeper in the field, listening for mice . . . watercolour

Polly's world, a new day dawns, watercolour . . .

Noble Abby, chalk and charcoal, on a windy day

Really? I thought I'd get laughed out of this thread for just doing eyes.

Ok, ok.. I put it in point form in word, so I could remember...

Ok, so do you know how to make a color pic black and white? That helps...

To select:
Lasso – 1 selection (set feather at top higher for blurred edges so you can be less precise.. (I used 30))
To select a second thingy: shift + select with the lasso

(what I did though was I did one eye starting with the inner corner, didn't let go and went over and did the second eye. )

To reverse selection:
Select – inverse (selects rest of image)

Then to make the inverse selection (i.e. rest of image) black and white, you go into Image - adjustment - desaturate

Is that clear enough? Select and image are in the menus at the top beside "file"...

Yeah, I know what you mean.. If I'm not shown, I have a hard time learning it on my own...

Just to give her more credit: I learned it from Meb!

I got that on my camera, where you can select one color then take the picture in B&W and only the color you selected shows up. Very cool.

Gorgeous pics everyone, love the saran wrappy one lol and the charcoal....such a creative bunch we have!

I am such a novice that I don't even know what photoshop is. I don't have any programs like that on my system.
I love the one of Polly's world.

An old thread but I like it. Most of the time I use Photoshop for post processing my photos. Sometimes I use it to create "photos".

I'm coming after you !

I have Photoshop, possibly on my old computer, but never use it. Concentrated on Paint Shop Pro instead.
