Found orange cat, very friendly, male

Hi, I found a orange cat almost 2 weeks ago it came running up to me and started rubbing my leg i gave it a little food, it had oil on it from sleeping under vehicles it is a male cat, and extremely friendly it purrs alot and meows. It has been living in my shed it has food and water and free roam in the daytime here's the thing i also have 3 hounds so it is very chaotic if you know someone who's lost their cat(orange, male, not fixed) please send them my way. I have put out posters around town but i've had no response, thought i'd give this a whirl
Thanks

Thank you for watching over this cat. Did you contact the human society or the city pound? Also, contact rescue groups that may be in a position to assist if need be. Pictures are always helpful.

Sorry - I do not know where you live so I cannot give you anymore tips.

He's beautiful and He looks like he's been well fed. It's very nice of you to have given him a temp. home. I hope his owners claim him...
Unneutured cats will travel far to meet up with a female cat who is in heat. Who knows where he came from. Good luck

What a pretty cat, thank's for helping him.
cpietra is right, being in tact,he could have travelled a long distance.
That he is not neutered is a concern,it tells me the owner do not care much, but I could be wrong.
If you do have to leave him somewhere, please try to find a rescue or a no-kill shelter.
Good Luck!!

Hi, Where are you located? I google mapped Shakespeare as per your info but all i am getting is a street near stratford.... We had posters near by lately with a lost cat photo that looks a lot like this guy, so even though its probably not him (we are at north toronto borderling thornhill), i just want to double check where you are located.

Thanks,

hi, I'm in a town 10km outside of stratford, between stratford and kitchener about 25km from kitchener on highway 7/8(i think it's still called that) just a small town, this cat goes out and about all day long cruising around town doing what cats do, i don't know how old it is? at night it comes back to my shed well before dark when i go to lock up the shed the cat is always in there or at the neighbours compost pile. if you think you know this cat feel free to call me at 519 625 8907, leave a message if i'm not home. the cat seems to be afraid of traffic, myself and my neighbours are thinking someone just dropped this cat off at the nearby feed mill.

Thanks,
Kenny

It sounds like something bad could happen to this cat, on your nieghbours acount. The only place I would be sending him too, would be your vets, humane society. Not to a Feed mill, who will odds are become a mouser.,if you no longer want to care for this little guy. you never know, maybe with a little love, care and attention this cat might love the indoor life. I have seen a few wild cats, that now enjoy the good indoor life.

Thanks for giving this cat shelter, food and water daily.

As long as I live,I could never understand people who can just dump an animal, all he wants is some loving and food
Still,I am glad you found him and ffor now he's safe..
I think the Kitchener/Waterloo HS has a very bad reputation for killing strays

we're actually looking into getting his shots and getting him fixed, if no one comes to claim him we want to make sure he's not going to cause any more unwanted cats. i called our vet and they gave me an estimate of approx. $300. this is a lot for an unexpected expense we didn't ask for. the little guy is very cute and we don't want to just dump him somewhere. does anyone have any info/advice on any cheaper places? i've heard of a place in newmarket that's reasonable but that's a 2 hour drive and the cat would be there for the day. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Cavalry, that would be great, are you considering keeping him??
He is a beautiful boy for sure
If they don't give shots at Newmarket(well worth the drive)you ca always have him get the shots at your own vet, shots are usually not expensive.
