L'ilRickyMom - are you here??(Xena)

I wasn't sure this would work out at first,(and regretted putting Lisa in touch with your) but your Xena seems quite happy with her besotted love slave, Slim.

Whatever Xena has, Slim seems to find it irresistable! Maybe the bat ears??

By the way, this is extra special, since Slim was the victim of extreme cruelty, was taken in very near death and painstakingly nursed back to health by PITCREW RESCUE.
You can see his "before" HERE

*Warning: Pics of severe starvation*

ETA: Xena is being rather immodest in this pic, so I altered it to be more proper.

Omg

I didn't put two and two together with the name. It kept ringing bells but I couldn't remember from what. You go Slim! It's Xena's natural feminine wiles working their magic on Slim I think!

Those befores are the very disgusting, heart-aching pictures (sorry if that's harsh but it is how I feel...). I can't believe what people do. It's so amazing to see this furry get a great home and look so healthy-- not to mention having a nice plump girly to cuddle with... It's great that a few adopters can look past the present and see the potential. It also makes for a good story to tell people when people think you give your dog a "magic pill" and they turn out perfect. It's a good story of hard work and a lot of love.

Not at all! To the despicable excuses for human beings who did this deliberately to a defenseless puppy, I would like to .

Slim looks great now, what an amazing transformation (I'm sure lots of love and TLC, patience and kindness made this possible). He looks very happy in his new home!! I love happy endings, and the people that make them happen your the best !!!

By the way I just love the Grapes, (nice touch)

Yes, Chico - Li'l Rickymom saved Xena and was looking for a home for her.

Both dogs now have a forever home with a lady named Lisa in Ottawa.

That is an adorable picture!

I haven't been on these boards for long and hadn't seen the before pictures until just now. Tears came to my eyes when I saw how badly neglected this poor baby was! I can't believe someone would have the heart to do something like that to a living being!

I'm glad to hear that he was rescued and is now being loved and living the life that every animal should!
