giardia

My 11 week kitten has giardia parasites. He is otherwise very healthy, eating drinking and very active. What is the best treatment for a kitten this young and is it safe?

I would ask your veterinarian but likely she or he will recommend fendbendazole (panacur) Which is very safe. metronidazole (flagyl) is also a common medication for giardia. Be sure to wash them daily as self re-infection is one of the most common causes for persistent giardiasis post therapy. Good luck!
