Mixed Meats
whats the deal with mixing your meats? ive read places that say you dotn want to mix different animal meats with each other and other sites who call for recipes that DO. is there any concrete harm in it?
oh and anythigin wrong with sunflower seeds? Jeffrey decided a minute ago that it was great fun to throw them at Mister. *sigh* -ashley

and while im talking about mixing meats.... i FINALLY found the butcher!! i had several people keep sending me to this butcher down the road.... looked and looked and looked and could find the guys right?
well come to find it its a MEXICAN BUTCHER!! and not a single bit of his sign was in ENGLISH!! well they had some of the coolest stuff!! i brought home some pork kidneys, beef liver, cow tongue.... he had the entire tongue and a liver today. oh and they said they would see if they couldnt order me some of the other stuff like lung and beef kidney... pancreas and such. happy Mister!! (and Frances cause she went to town on that liver too!!) -ashley

Some proteins are denser than others ie. beef more so than chicken and require longer and more work to digest. So you'll have that piece of chicken hanging around perhaps a little too long and the potential for bad bacteria to lodge in the gut increases. I wouldn't worry about proteins like venison mixed with bison and I wouldn't worry about chicken and rabbit together but I would worry about rabbit and bison.
