The view from my new bedroom window.

I recently moved - as in, I got the last boxes out of the old apartment this morning. My old neighbors let their young children play unattended under my windows for hours - yelling, screaming, trashing the yard and climbing trees to look in my windows. Since complaints to management didn't get any results - I moved.

I love the new apartment!! While it has the same square footage, the rooms are arranged differently so the living room and master bedroom are much bigger. The balcony is huge and the view from my bedroom window is to die for.

Sunset out my window.

Some of the local wildlife

Now - I live on the third floor. All of these pictures were taken with my little, inexpensive Canon PowerShot A560. While I did use the zoom, I can tell you - this guy is as big as a basketball!

I have seen more then one huge turtle in this pond. And we have carp that are 2 or 3 feet long!

Wow, nice place. Did you move out of the city?
I assume it's child-free

Actually - the entrance is off a major 5 lane road and I am within walking distance of literally just about everything I could need - grocery, drug store, several restaraunts - both dine in and fast food. And not only is it not child free - there are a ton more children here then my old apartment. But - they are not allowed to run around screaming and trashing the place! That and the heat is paid for by the complex, so I have really nice draft-free windows that also cut out the sound from outside.

Wow! I can't imagine being able to watch wildlife so close right from your bedroom window. Is that a pond? river? I'd be at the window all day looking for glimpses of those ducklings.

It is a pond. The ducks aren't here often but the heron is a daily visitor.

LOL!!

We also have a muskrat in residence but it is hard to get a picture of him. There are several different birds that I don't recognize either.

My computer is set up so that I can look out the window as I sit here online. On my desk - a small pair of binoculars and my camera.

And yeah - I would probably have a lot more unpacking done if I wasn't looking out the window.

If your apartment is as nice as the outside you should be in heaven!! Beautiful! We have a Heron fly over every morning and return every night. Used to be two but one died a few years back.
