Please offer him a little food tonight. Even if he doesn't eat it it's there for him. He hasn't had any solid food since last night. I bet he's hungry. I have always offered a small amount to my gang after they came home.

I bow to the superior wisdom of you lovely folks. Gizmo is eating, maybe a quarter of what he normally gets. I'll try a bit more in a few hours if this stays down okay.

14+, I'll be keeping little Dart in my thoughts this Sunday! I'm sure he'll come out just as well as Gizmo did.

Yay! Yes, feeding a small amount is a good thing.. it's not good to make them go so long without food.. take it from us as people who have recovered a few hundred cats after surgery, we've been through it all before

Try and put the food up to if you can, it helps them get it down a little better post surgery. Up on a tissue box is fine

It's gone and he's asking for more already. and I thought Remington's sadeyes were pitiful, but that was before I had to hear a hungry kitten telling me how very hungry he is, and he's had a hard day, why am I being mean? I'll give it until about midnight my time (it's 930 here) and then see if he wants a bit more. we had our nap, and sure enough, he came and snuggled with me in bed. and now he's acting completely normally, including potty breaks, so we're all good.
