My cat Cookie died today...

Hi everyone,
just to let you know that my cat Cookie died today, she was 10 years and 1 month old. She was also my best friend, and most often the only one there for me at the hardest moments of my life... Cookie never fully recovered from an operation to the ear she had in Dec 2007 due to ear hematoma, after the operation, she became almost 'feral', hissing, growling and clawing at us. She would hide in the closet all day and only come out at night to feed and sit in the kitchen window, away from all human presence.. we think this behavior may be related to the operation... On may 30th, i sent Cookie off to my mothers place, where there are no other cats, and where it is very quiet (she lives in a retirement home) My mom told me that Cookie was doing very good! Purring, cuddling, greeting her at the door, and even playing quietly, letting herself be petted! Today i got the dreadfull phone call... Cookie is dead... My mom was suspicious. since Cookie always greets her at the door when she comes in... She found Cookie at her usual spot on the couch, in the, what we lovingly call 'donut position' ( curled up in a ball) and she was unresponsive... she was dead... Cookie was incinerated, and i can now only remember her with the images of her i keep in my heart. and those very few i have on disc. I have two other kittens; Tonali, 13 months, and Elphin, 3 months, i try to focus my attention on them. But to all who have a pet they love... always love it double!!!
