Happycats

I didn't want to hijack the campground thread. I would love to see pictures of your trailer. I am a travel trailer junkie.

LOL! I'll show you mine if you show me yours.

We just bought a new to us trailer in February. It's finally going on the lot this week.

ETA: If anyone else wants to show off their travel trailers, I would love to see them as well.

That is very nice. Is that a screened enclosure off the trailer. With a nice patio set off to the side?

They're coming, they're coming. Bad boss. Making me work.

I haven't used photobucket before, I hope this works.

This is what we had last year. 1972. 17ft. sleeps 5. We pretty much redid everything in it. LOL. Hubby did, I was in charge of beer distribution.

This is our new one. 1985 31ft. sleeps 9. we will have to redo the deck to accomodate the height. OK. Hubby will. I will be in charge of beer distribution.

Beautiful!! I love your job, I must volunteer for that one next time

Nice deck, does the new one have a back bedroom? Mine has the bunk beds in the back (sleeps 8) although I would never want to try

I have inside pictures I can post tonight. It has three bunks in the rear and then a 3/4 bed in front of those.

It looks like your lot is huge. Very nice landscaping.

The lot is huge, and it's the only trailer on the water, so no neighbors!!
Here is a pic of my son and father fishing off of the dock, right in front of the trailer

WOW!!! It must be incredible in the summer time. Is it a swimming lake too, or just fishing?

Everyone swims off the main dock, and a 5 min boat ride is a beautiful sandy beach!
It's great we often would drive the boat down to Port Perry and have breakfast! (I'm sure gonna miss it )

Here is a pic to show how close to the water it is When you are standing inside the trailer looking out the front window, it looks like you are actually ON the water!

Thats funny, because our first trailer was a 1971 17ft that we totally gutted and rebuilt as well! (unfortunately I was in charge of clean-up I will make sure I get beer distribution next time )

Happycats, it is an absolute beauty. It's too bad you have to sell it, but I am sure whoever buys it will certainly enjoy it. Heck! If I was in Ontario, I would be looking at it for sure. I can well imagine all the great memories you have. LOL! And yes, beer distribution is the way to go. Did you buy or build the screen room?

Coppers Mom, It is longer than my house . We didn't get it for the size per se. I wanted a shower and bunks, so I didn't have to keep putting the table and couch up and down all the time. It was a deal we couldn't pass up.

Raingirl, that's my goal. My retirement years will be full time RVing.

I didn't get a chance to post pictures last night, I'll have to do it tonight, if you want to see them.

No the original owners bought it, it actually folds like and accordian, and fits in the shed (we replaced the roof 2 years ago)

That is a nifty rig. You don't happen to know where they bought it, do you?

Me too!! I want to see ALL of Canada!
Canada, the US, Mexico, South America. Get in the old Motorhome and just drive. (We are actually still deciding about Motorhome or travel trailer for the retirement. There are so many pros and cons for each. We still have many years to decide though )

Holy Crap!!! Have you seen some of the new Motorhomes they have now. We went to an RV show here about a month ago. The prices! And beeee-uuuu-tiful.

Pictures coming up.

This is looking from the front to the rear. (That's hubby coming in the door.)

The kitchen counter.

From the back looking to the front (That's my son sitting on the couch)

Another one from the front showing the hall.

These are two of the three bunks. These are one the far back wall. The third is a top bunk across from the one you see.

And a couple of the bathroom with shower. Yea!!!! LOL, maybe you can shed some light on how to efficiently shower in it. There's about 18 inches of stand up space and then there's probably 18 inches of sit down space?

OMG that looks alot like mine, I can only find 1 inside pic (hubby lost the rest , or burned them to CD and put them with about 50 others that are not labeled ) This does not do it justice, but here goes.

By the way your son looks like a sweetie!!

Thank you.

PS: Are we the only Pets.ca members that own trailers?

Oh. And I don't believe for one second that just because I posted the title as happycats, that people aren't checkin' out what's goin' on.

I wanna see some trailers!

We used to have one but sold it when we moved. I'll have to see if I can dig up any pics and get them scanned. Ours was pretty big. I'd have to ask my mom about the squar footage though. It had two tip outs (two parts that were retractable for when you pulled it, then you would just push the button and they would slid out to give you more room.) one slid out the livingroom couch, the other the master bedroom bed. It slept 9 if you turned everything into beds. there was the master bed, the kitchen table converted into a bed, the couch turned into a bed, then there were bunk beds in the back room, and the table in the back room turned into a bed. It was a pretty nice trailer. It was our second, before that we had a fifth wheel. Your trailers look really nice. I really miss ours. I loved to go up there on the weekends.
