Beneful = HORRIBLE

Do some research on here, you can find a load of threads on dog nutrition.

A vet visit is also a good idea, just to make sure nothing is going on in there, but DEFINITELY Beneful is a HORRIBLE dog food.

Thanks for response.

I didn't know Benefull was bad. We got it at walmart so I guess you may be right.

i agree with abm, if it's sold at walmart or the grocery store its not one of the better pet foods, look at orijen, evo, wellness, etc. You want a dogfood that is low if not totally grain free. And just to be safe i'd take the little one to see the puppy doc. oh and if you happen to have a picture we'd love to see the little one.

Beneful is definitely a yucky dog food.

Orijen is really good, Or Evo. Personally I use Wellness Core Ocean Formula.

www.dogfoodanalysis.com
This is a great site that rates and reviews dog foods.

http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_f...uct=70&cat=all

^ Thats the review that the food that you are feeding your puppy got.

If you go there and look at the 6 star rated foods it gives you the best brands.

Welcome to the WONDERFUL world of dog foods! Lol It can be a bit confusing at times, but what you want is No corn, no wheat, no soy. Grain-Free would be OPTIMAL. Grains have no nutrional value to a dog or cat, and can cause food allergies. It IS more expensive than grocery dog foods but you get what you pay for.

Correct. Sam is a mix of a long haired Chihuahua female and a maltese male. He luckily got the best looks of both without the Chihuahua popping out eyes.

Welcome to pets.ca. Hope your pup starts feeling better. It is important not to let your puppy get dehydrated from diarrhea or vomitting. Did you visit the vet?

I'm surprised there's been so little prompting to head to the vet so far! This is a tiny mix dog, and therefore more prone to dehydration from the vomitting/diarrhea. The mix also makes me question the type of place it came from and therefore the risk of disease...parvo? I don't know, I wouldn't fool around with it...
