Hi all
Hello everyone just to introduce myself..... My name is Desiree, I am an avid pet lover. Dogs have a special place in my heart. I have 2 parrots, three dogs,2 female yorkies and a shih tzu(another addition in a couple of months, akita) and a saltwater aquarium. I have been having trouble keeping my yorkie pups alive after delivery. I have been through 3 litters totalling 8 pups and only 1 has survived. Early this morning was the third litter and the pup died. I noticed a very dark green liquid which I have never seen before and I am not sure how to explain it. I am not a quitter, but loosing so many pups hurts and I almost want to give up on trying to breed my yorkies. I guess this is the final attempt to try and make this work. I would love some suggestions please. Thanks in advance.

Please don't call yourself a quitter. As A matter of fact, if you do quit, I'd call you "very smart". Aren't there so many stray dogs dying of hunger in Jamaica?

Thank you
Thank you all for responding to my thread.
Katwoman, i will post some updated pictures of my pets soon. Thank you for your thoughts. cpietra16, thank you and yes there are many starving dogs in jamaica,as much as I would love to take all of them or even 1 I dont live in a large enough environment to afford that however I am a newly elected member of the Jamaica Kennel Club (JKC) and hopefully i will be able to do more for those animals who are in need than I have been able to do before. Rainbow, Thank you for your input, Pictures will be posted soon, I reviewed all your links I thought the video was especially touching and heart wrenching so many persons need to view that video. On the subject of spaying/neutering, I have no problems with anyone making that decision for their pet, however I dont believe in spaying or neutering, even if I dont ever breed again I wouldnt consider that avenue. |

I'd love to know why you don't believe in spaying and neutering.

Hi Desiree, and welcome to you! I hope you will enjoy the site, and will look forward to pictures of your pets.
I'm sorry you lost the latest puppy.. Green liquid sounds like a possible infection. I'd suggest taking your girl to the vet. As she has had 3 litters, and problems with each.. I also would urge you to have her spayed, to avoid future health risks for her.. and more heartbreak for you. May I ask why dont believe in spaying and neutering? There are many benefits to this, and if you are not planning on breeding.. I am puzzled by why you would not wish to do this?
