So sad, that such a beautiful, proud animal couldn't be saved. Run free, yes.

Aww, poor Barbaro..
He put up such a gallant fight. No more struggles,.. we'll picture this beautiful horse galloping free and fleet of foot again.

Barbaro

For the last few weeks they have been reporting that he was having setbacks in his recovery. One of the problems involved his other leg. It was getting better but now I hear that he was euthanized today so maybe it wasn't .
Rest in peace Barbaro

This story touched me. I was so excited in Dec when I saw him out walking around and was hopeful that he would truly recover to a relaxing retirement. Run free and fast to the bridge  .

I was also hopeful that he was going to improve. He was a beautiful horse and so sad that he had to leave at such a young age.
