Cheese Cake Recipe Please

Hi Everyone,

I would like a nice cheesecake recipe that is soft and light.

I have tried the one off the box for the cream cheese, looking for something lighter.

Thanks if anyone can offer a recipe.

Another No Bake Cheesecake Recipe

This one is sinful, and a family favorite.
Add your favorite flavoring * amaretto, baileys, almond extract, what have you*
It has won the heart of even the toughest critics around here and I am constantly asked for the recipe Or to make one for special occasions.

I always make mine in a 9 " round springform pan.

DogueLover`s Easy "Killer Cheesecake"

Base

1 cup graham wafer crumbs
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup melted margarine

Mix and press into a 9 " springform pan

Cheesecake

1 envellope Knox unflavored gelatin
1/4 cup water.
Heat to dissolve gelatin and keep warm

Beat 1 8 oz pkg cream cheese with 1/2 cup white sugar

In another bowl combine 3/4 cup whipping cream and 1/4 cup lemon juice

In gradual increments add gelatin and cream/lemon juice mixture to cream cheese mixture. Beat well. Add favorite flavoring ( 1 tbsp will do).
( add vanilla, almond, bailey`s irish cream, amaretto etc)
Place in fridge to thicken.

In another bowl beat 1 cup whipping cream ( or use nutriwhip).

Once cream cheese mixture has thickened add it to whipped cream and fold together.
Pour over crust and refridgerate until firm.

Decorate with fresh fruit, or sliced almonds ( really good with amaretto flavor) or shaved chocolate.

This is very good.

You might want to make two!!

LOL I always end up making two, My hubby will eat one by himself practically. He makes me ill, he can eat more than anyone I know and stays slim. I told him I want to borrow his metabolism for just one month. ( and he can have mine LOL LOL LOL)
Hope it is as big a hit at your house as it is at mine.

DogueLover, ok I made the cake, I hope it is ok that I made it a day early as there is enough to do tomorrow.

As for making two, yes Marty asked that very question...
too funny

Thanks again, I'm sure it will be great but I will let you know how it was. You know how it is ... I like it better when someone else makes it.

Making it a day early

That is fine, it keeps for almost a week( if you can make it last that long) LOL
Which kind did you try?
My all time favorite it amaretto with sliced almonds. My hubby loves the kahlua or Baileys.
Let me know how it went over.

It never lasts long enough to be kept a week in our fridge, hubby eats whatever is left over usually by the next day.

Baileys is good

Glad to hear it was a hit, it usually is here and it isn`t that hard to make.
Most people think I spent hours making it and I just smile and say not really, Mackenzie could make it if she wanted to >LOL>
