For anyone who was here 3 years ago...

Hi all. I don't get to post much (with my current job, I get to lurk for a couple of minutes once in a while, but I don't surf 8 hours a day like I used to!), but I wanted to share Gracie's 3rd birthday with those of you who were there when she was born (and those of you who weren't, since you're here now! ) I feel like Pets.ca was such a big part of Gracie when she first came into the world. She turned 3 on June 19. She's turned into such a clown, and such a little girl...

Here's her first picture you saw, and a picture taken on her birthday...

OMG!!

Has it really been 3 years already!

She sure is a little beauty. She must get that from her mom.

How is she taking to being a big sister?

She loves being a big "stister" (as she calls it). Mrs. Schwinn has decided we are now campers, and for her birthday/mother's day, got a pop-up trailer...a 20 year old, stinky, pop-up trailer...she loves it.

Here's a couple of pictures from our first trip.

Anyway, just wanted to share with you. I don't even want to THINK about the teenage years! Still lots of work to do in the gym before that first boy shows up...

I know I don't get on much any more, but every time I think of when Grace first joined came into this world, I have warm fuzzies about sharing it with everyone here, and wanted everyone else to get the "I can't believe she's 3 already!" that I did!

Awe Schwinn, she's gorgeous. What's your youngest baby's name? You are definitely gonna have your hands full when they hit the teenager years...lol Good luck! lol

Schwinn, I was here back then! Like you I have popped in and out on occasion, and just kinda coming back now so it was such a thrill to see your pics. What cute girls! I had the same stinky pop-up trailer many years ago by the way, it was great for the time. Enjoy and keep up the gym time, you're gonna need it!

Thanks for the compliments, everyone!

And Frenchy, I'm not sure, but I think she's actually a little short for her age (I don't know a lot of 3 year olds), which is wierd, because Maddy is tall. I know when Grace was about a year old, she was in the 98th percentile for weight, and 50th for height! Poor girl, built like her daddy...short and squatty. Maddy, on the other hand, is something like 110th percentile for height, and 60th for weight. I told Mrs. Schwinn she had some 'splaining to do. I'm told the resemblance between myself and her is uncanny though, so there's no doubt. That, and we don't have a mailman...

And Mahealani, the "new one", as I affectionately call her, is named Madeline Claire, or Maddy (or Grover, as I call her, because her first ultra-sound she looked like a muppet). I have guilt, though, because my job was to make sure whatever name the kids got, they couldn't be turned into an awful nickname. It wasn't until after everything was signed, and we started calling her Maddy, that I realized using her nickname she sounded like an angry pastry....Maddy Clair...say it out loud as though it were one word, you'll get it...oops.

And yes, I'm pretty much at thier mercy. I always say Grace is amazingly strong...she can hold 220lbs with her finger. On Canada day, just after 9 pm, she came out of her bedroom calling for Mrs. Schwinn because she couldn't sleep. Then when she went by the window and saw the lights, "Ohhh!!! Daddy, Daddy!! Fireworks!! Come see!!" Long story short...I wound up walking through the neighbourhood in bare feet with a 3 yr old wearing silk Zoey pajamas on my shoulders looking at fireworks...I am so screwed when the other one starts talking.

I'd post a couple more pictures, but I'm procrastinating at work right now...

Yup, Daisy's still around. She's gotten over her fear of Grace, and now when I "wrassle" with Grace, making her giggle at the top of her lungs and scream, Daisy goes nuts. Also, when the "mean" cat growls at Grace, Daisy runs to the rescue to scare her away.

Last one I call "Commando Dog". If my photoshop skills were better, I put in some barb wire and combat hat!

Thanks, guys. They're in Owen Sound at Nanna and Poppa's right now. At first, I was like, "Woo hoo! Free time! Maybe I'll play Wii? Or watch TV? Or just sit in my boxers on the couch and eat cheese!"

But, I'm already starting to feel the "I miss them"s coming on...

(Think maybe I'll go open Maddy's diaper bucket...that ought ta prolong it for a few hours...)
